PLURMate is operated by PlurTix LLC, a California limited liability company ("PLURMate", "we", "us"). These Terms are a contract between you and us. They cover the PLURMate mobile app, the PLURMate website, and everything reachable from either. Using PLURMate means you accept them. If you do not, do not use PLURMate.
The Community Guidelines form part of these Terms. The Privacy Policy explains what we do with your information; it is not a contract term but you should read it.
By creating an account you confirm each of the above is true.
Your email address is your credential, together with either a password you choose or your Apple or Google account. Whoever controls that address or that provider account can reset the password and sign in, so keep the address, its password, and your device secure, and tell us at support@plurtix.com if any of them is lost or taken over. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
You may not sell, rent, lend or transfer your account to anyone else.
We email a one-time code to confirm your address when you sign up, and another if you ask to reset your password. These are transactional messages needed to operate your account, so they are not something you can opt out of while keeping the account. We do not send marketing email.
Every code is single-use and permanently tied to the member who created it. Whoever redeems your personal code becomes your friend in the app from the moment their profile is complete. That link is the point of PLURMate, and it is what makes the following rules necessary:
Because invites are traceable, when we remove an account we look at who invited it and at who it invited. Repeatedly vouching for people who are removed can cost you your own account.
PLURMate is free. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase, no boost, and no charge to see who liked you. There is no payment code in the app at all. It is funded by PLURTiX, our ticket marketplace, which is a separate service under its own terms. Nothing in these Terms obliges you to use PLURTiX, and your PLURMate account is not affected by whether you do.
We may introduce paid features in future. If we ever do, we will say so before it happens and nothing you already have will be taken away and sold back to you.
"Your content" means everything you put into PLURMate: your photos, your profile answers, your messages, and anything you send us in a report or a support email.
You keep ownership of your content. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for example, resizing and compressing a photo), and display it, solely in order to operate PLURMate, to show it to the members you chose to show it to, and to moderate it. We will not use your photos or profile in marketing, advertising, or press without asking you first and getting a yes.
You confirm that you own or have the right to share everything you upload, that the photos are of you, and that sharing them does not infringe anyone else's rights or privacy.
The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, with three practical exceptions: messages you already sent remain in the recipient's copy of the conversation; content retained as part of a safety, moderation or legal record is kept as described in the Privacy Policy; and routine backups age out on their own schedule.
PLURMate is for personal, non-commercial use, to meet people. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for that purpose.
The Community Guidelines go into more detail. Where they are stricter than this section, they apply.
Reporting someone blocks them instantly and sends the report to us. We review reports and may look at the reported profile, the reported messages, and the invite chain around the account. We are not obliged to monitor the service, and we do not read conversations that nobody has reported.
Depending on what we find we may remove content, limit an account's reach, suspend it, or remove it permanently, and, for serious matters, contact law enforcement. We aim to act proportionately, but for content involving minors, credible threats, or non-consensual imagery, the response is immediate removal with no warning.
If you think we got it wrong, email support@plurtix.com and a person will look at it again.
We verify that a member holds the email address they signed up with, and every member was vouched for by someone already here. That is real, and it is also the limit of it.
We do not run criminal background checks. We do not verify identity. We do not screen members. An invite is a personal vouch, not a certification, and nothing in this app should be treated as evidence that a person is safe.
So: meet in public the first few times. Tell a friend where you are going and who with. Get yourself home. Do not send money to anyone, ever, whatever the story is. Trust your instincts and leave when something feels wrong.
PLURMate is not a harm reduction, medical, or emergency service and nobody here is a medic. If someone is in danger, contact local emergency services or on-site medical staff.
We may change, add, or remove features, and we may suspend or discontinue PLURMate entirely. We will give reasonable notice of a shutdown where we can. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available in any particular place.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings, or by emailing support@plurtix.com. Deletion is described in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or remove any account, at any time, for conduct that harms other members or breaches these Terms, and, on reasonable notice, if we stop operating the service. When an account ends, the licence in section 7 ends with it, your profile stops being visible, and any unused invite codes stop working. Sections 6, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 survive.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PLURMate is provided "as is" and "as available", and we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that you will find a match, that other members are who they say they are, or that anything you read in the app is true.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions. Where that is the case, they do not apply to you, and nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory local law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill, arising out of your use of PLURMate, including anything that happens between you and another member, online or in person.
Our total liability to you for all claims relating to PLURMate is limited to USD $100. PLURMate is free, so this is not a refund cap; it is the agreed limit of a service you pay nothing for.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages and reasonable legal costs arising out of your content, your use of PLURMate, your breach of these Terms, or your interaction with another member, except to the extent the claim arises from our own wrongdoing.
Before starting any formal proceeding, email support@plurtix.com describing the problem and what you want. Most things are resolved this way. Give us 60 days.
If we cannot resolve it, you and we agree that any dispute will be settled by binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS under its then-current Consumer Arbitration Minimum Standards and Streamlined Arbitration Rules, rather than in court before a judge or jury. The arbitration may take place by video, telephone, written submissions, or in Los Angeles County, California, as the applicable rules and law permit. We will pay arbitration fees to the extent required by the JAMS consumer standards or applicable law.
You and we each waive the right to participate in a class, collective, or representative action. An arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims and may only award relief to the individual party seeking it.
Either of us may still bring an individual claim in small claims court, and either of us may seek an injunction in court to stop misuse of the service or infringement of intellectual property.
You can opt out of arbitration. Email support@plurtix.com with your account handle and the words "arbitration opt-out" within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. Opting out costs you nothing and changes nothing else about your account.
If you live in the EU, the UK, or anywhere else where an agreement to arbitrate consumer disputes in advance is not enforceable, this section does not apply to you and you keep every right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Where section 15 does not apply, the state and federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in and may bring proceedings there.
We may update these Terms. Every version carries a date and a version number at the top. For changes that materially affect your rights we will give notice in the app before they take effect, and ask you to accept the new version. If you would rather not, you can delete your account instead. Continuing to use PLURMate after a minor change means you accept it.
If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest stands. Not enforcing something does not waive it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor in a merger or sale of the business, on notice to you. These Terms, with the Community Guidelines, are the whole agreement between us about PLURMate. Nothing here creates any third-party right, except that Apple and Google are third-party beneficiaries of the app-store terms you also accepted when you installed the app, and may enforce them.
